Schools play an integral role in a young person’s life where learning, growing and socialization occur. As a future educator, I hope to provide students with the best education possible. In order to do so, the relationship between teacher and student, the classroom environment and teaching strategies are essential in motivating students to learn as well as enhance their educational experience.
Teachers who get to know their students are the ones who make a difference in their students’ lives. Relating students’ interests into the classroom lessons is critical due to the ongoing issue of school being boring. As a teacher, I want to engage my students in their learning in order to intrinsically motivate them. Further, I hope that students are comfortable enough to speak with me about issues that do not necessarily relate to school. I hope to have positive relationships with my students in order to help them grow and become better people. All students are to be treated with respect and with equal fairness. Every student deserves their own opportunity to be the best they can be on their own terms and circumstances.
It is essential to help build the foundation of a student’s learning through an environment that is conducive to learning. The school is a student’s second home. Students must feel comfortable and safe in their environment in order for them to be motivated to succeed. I am determined to becoming a teacher that will not only motivate children to learn, but engage students in growing as individuals with respect and ambition. Hands on teaching that goes beyond memorization and rote learning is what makes learning meaningful and relevant to students. With the rise of technology, I believe that integrating technological components into the classroom is vital in making the link between home and school life. While traditional methods of instruction are still relevant, technology gives students the chance to have an enriched level of learning. Also, hands on experiences such as field trips and activities is what make learning memorable.
It is important that teachers are aware of the different types of students in the classroom. Since students learn differently and at different rates, teachers must be aware of how their students learn best. Through this, they can use strategies that can help further their students’ learning. It is therefore essential for a teacher to get to know their students as individuals to best cater to their needs.
As a teacher, I hope to inspire and make a difference in my students’ lives. I hope to see them grow as individuals and use their knowledge and qualities to their highest potential. I hope to provide the best learning environment while allowing them grow and make mistakes that they can learn from.
